It will be louder but you will lose some power. If you cat is clogged and you take it out it will seem like you gained power but all you did was gain the power lost from the clogged cat. High flow cats are useless too.

Check with your local state laws. It's probably illegal remove your CAT or mess with any emmissions components.
yeah so what... still doing it...

modern engines are designed to run best at a certain backpressure in the exhaust system. Remove the cats and you lose that backpressure and hence horsepower unless you make a lot of other modifications. People that claim an increase in horsepower just think it's so because of the noise.

Police aren't stupid. I'm pretty sure they know how to tell when one is hollow just by the sound....

And what about state inspection? Pretty sure they will notice and you'll be paying for a new cat. Not cheap, btw.

What?? Yeah, that sounds like a GREAT idea. Who cares if you have no brakes or your ball joints are falling out, right? Wow, that may be the stupidest thing I've heard in a long time.

State inspections are performed for safety reasons. The items inspected include things like brakes, exhaust, steering, and suspension. Got it now, or should I dumb it down some more for ya?

When you understand how an engine works you will understand why we say this. There is a reason exhaust companies don't sell 5" exhausts for NA engines. Read about backpressure and exhaust scavenging.
