Renting a Scan tool:

anyone know where I could rent a scan tool? I.e. Autozone, or Pep Boys...

i think that advance auto does it.

 

advanced may...and i think autozone does, but i think at advanced.....you have to use the scanner at their store. dont quote me on it tho.

 

Get a scangauge II - its a code reader.

I need to read fuel trims not clear codes.

I need to check the OEM ECU fuel trim deviations at idle and a steady 60 MPH, both short and long term...

Soo, renting is my only option, besides purchasing.

Scan gauge is useful but not for what Im doing.

 

If your gunna get a scan tool you should look at snap on my friend works at a shop and he has one its called a motus by snap on and it is nice because it can check anything
