muffler assistance

    Stripped down to the frame
    well i am contemplating purchasing the flowmaster 40 race series muffler. but i dont know what would be the best way to mount it to get the best sound. do i need to mount it in place of the catalyc converter. some one please help.

    just replace ur stock muffler with the new one, a shop can do it for u in minutes if u dont weld

    i heard of someone removing the cat. converter what does that do

    removing your cats will help ur engine flow more... youll lose some low end but will gain a little in the upper... also removing ur cat will make ur truck not smog legal and alot louder

    i dont have emission laws in arizona... least i dont think so... but hmmm loss of low end for a louder truck
