Good grief! This is amazing. It does not seem to have impacted my mileage when I drive normally. The extra little bit of power is amazing. Especially around the 3K RPM point. Install was easy to do. Took me around an hour and a half. Could have done it faster, but neighbors dogs kept coming by distracting me. Thanks to all the posts concerning this mod. I may have not done it except for the good reviews I read here on tacomaworld.com. :D

What is the consensus on cleaning the TRD CAI filter? I drive many miles on dirt, so I expect I will need to clean the filter more frequently than my pavement bound brethren.

So far i have 10k miles on mine and it still does not need to be cleaned with the kit. I would just check it every time you change your oil and go from there. I think i remember reading in the manual that they do not need to be "recharged" until you reach the 50k mark. Ill find my manual and double check that for you.
