winterization/block heater/oil pan heater

Hey everyone, I just finished winterizing my truck, and if anyone is interested on what they would need to do it, or how to do it, PM me and I would be happy to explain everything to you...it took about 2 hours in total

What kind of stuff exactly did you winterize? I just went through a Northern Alberta winter and everything seemed fine?

I have a buddy in Fairbanks who plays hockey for the University! One of these days I am going to have to make my way up there.

 

Not to rag on you or nothin but aren't you kinda late in the game?

 

Haha yea you could say I'm a little late in the game, but I got up to alaska just to catch the tail end of winter and figured I should do it now, before it gets cold again lol.

here's all I did:

50/50 antifreeze swap
block heater (freeze plug style)
oil pan heater
battery pad heater
radiator cover

you can also swap diff and tranny fluid as well

 

where did you buy your block heater and oil pan heater? Are they run through the same plug? I'm in Seattle and it's like asking for a chocolate fireguard down here. Nobody has a clue!
