I've been reading up on it and most of what I've seen is back-and-forth about HP gains.

Here's what I want to know: For normal driving (not mudding) do I need to screw the deckplate on whenever it rains or the road is wet? If the air filter gets wet (the paper one, not an aftermarket drop-in), is that a big deal?

    Thanks

I only ever put the lid on when I went wheeling. Otherwise I always kept it off, never any issues.
