My parents feed their dogs Canidae Grain-Free. I use Taste of the Wild for mine. When we rescued our dog in NC we found a website that rates dog foods scientifically in regards to ingredient labels (and what they really mean) and other stuff. Check it out if you want.

    http://www.dogfoodadvisory.com

I believe it was created and/or is being operated by a breed specific group, however, the breakdown of the foods and their ratings (there are hundreds or thousands of ratings, you can browse by a number of filters) is independent of breed and is based only on the feed.

Speaking of Boxers...A puppy is a puppy and you can expect mischie from any breed when they are young. If you got to start out by leaving them in the house when you first get them then I suggest an older Boxer. There is a outstanding looking Female with her ears done (owner surrender) on Florida Boxer rescue. (I'm in Savannah so I know where Columbia is...gotta bro that lives there.) Boxers are also known as the clown dog. I trained my second one in Germany and I brought my third one back from Germany when he was looking for a home. I now have my 4th Boxer (Another rescue) and I can't tell you how pleased I am with the breed. If you have small children they can climb all over them and abuse them without fear of a bite. Most of the boxers I know will get up and leave if it becomes to abusive but the the others will stay and play. Outstanding Family dog and I can't imagine being without one. In my opinion they are the greatest. Stay on top of their health as they are prone to cancer but the Boxer was the first selected breed to have a complete DNA performed on with results published. Quiet an honor in my opinion. Walk them and love them are the necessary ingredients and you don't have to do their ears if you don't want to.

Hope you don't go through what I did. I'll leave it at that for now. :(

had to break up a buddys pit from some mangled cat. Surprised that pitbull let it go so easily. Thought for sure there was gonna be a causality.

Your Pit didn't kill the cat? That is totally awesome! Shows what a bum rap those little guys get and just how kind and loving they can be. It almost sounds like he was playing with the cat...maybe just a little rough....
