Let's See Your Dogs!!

This is my Dog Whiskey! He is a shitzu bijon cross and about 4 years old. He resides at my parents house as I am away for work right now and am not home very much, but everytime I visit he makes me believe he is still my dog!

 

Well, I got the Vizsla Pointer. Here he is:




I need a name for him though.

My Eddie baby is gone. October 26, 1995 - November 15 2008.

When I woke up this morning, he was unable to move his back legs and his eyes would not stop moving/twitching. He's been having a rough time for while, and I couldn't let him suffer anymore. I held him while the vet set him free. He can run and play again now, and I'll be with him again some day.

"Teddy"3 yr old, Soft Coated Wheaton, My wife's dog.

"Ace" 4 yr old, Golden Retriever, I got him as a puppy, he lives with my parents since I joined the AF

"Bethoven" The Mutt, we rescued him from some people as we were driving through Iowa, he was chained to a tree it was like 45 deg and raining.. my mom knocked on the door and said do not let your dog come inside when its cold and raining.. and they people said, if you give a shit about him then take him.. we have had him for 12 years.. not sure hold old he is.. but he only has a couple left in him.

Thank you so much everyone. It's a decision I've been dreading, but I knew it was time. Connar is now reaping the benefits of Mommy's grief in the form of attention, toys, and treats.....not that he is appreciating the extra brushing as much, but he looks really good! I'm a bit better now--I've quit second-guessing myself. I know to keep him going would have been purely selfish and cruel. There will never be another Eddie, but I have my memories, and I'll see him again some day, just like I will my little Mikey (my sheltie for whom I had to do the same in 2006). Sorry to bring the thread down for a bit.

I'm just glad that Con is only 4!

 

We had 2... littermates, one female and one male. Both recently passed away(within 6 weeks of one another) at 10 years of age. They are very energetic dogs and request a lot of interaction. They also tend to suffer separation anxiety when you leave them home alone. They are very loyal, and will do anything to seek approval. They are very smart, almost too smart, leading them to easily become bored and mischievious (read: destructive) if not occupied with something...

 

"Lazslo" is a Hungarian male 'name of prominance'. I had a male named Lazslo.
His sister's name was "Vadas" (pronounced Va-DASH) which translated to 'Hunter' in Hungarian...
