new gauge pictures with the DSLR What a difference

So I took some new pictures of my gauges for my web site with my new DSLR.

First shot is full auto.

the color doesnt look right and the odo is washed out.

second shot is manual mode
much higher fstop (smaller aperature) with a longer exposure time
i could have got this better with a tripod but i cant find the shoe for mine
he color is much better and the odo isnt washed out.
