    I always love seeing pics of that Gorgeous dog :)

    Love the Geranium pic too, you may get that pic too pop a little more if you hit the petals with a mister bottle and get a few drops hanging

    im going to try and buy a f1.8 50mm but i have a d5000 so no autofocus :(..


    My question is, do i really need the AF?

    Auto focus is nice to have...I don't use manual unless I need too...

    Yeah the 35 would be a great alternative...I think about switching to that one every now and then but if I really need to get a wider shot I switch to my 17-55 2.8

    You'll probably want af. When you are just playing around and being creative you don't need af but if you are walking around a city with the camera you are going to want to essentially point and shoot without having to take the time to focus it yourself. Plus if you are rushed you may be off a little bit on the focus and the whole shot would be ruined.

    No...the D70s does not have good ISO performance. I haven't shot with that camera in a while so I've whipped it out and have been shooting with it as of late.
