UV Light and Digital Cameras

Well, I was a little bit bored this afternoon so I took my Olympus 5060 into the utility room along with a UV LED light and some glasses from the kitchen. I set the glasses on the counter, set the camera to automatic everything, turned the flash off, and set it on the counter as well. Then I turned off all the lights, shined the UV light on the glasses, and this is what I ended up with. I kinda like it...I welcome your comments or criticism!

It's cool, but photography is more than that just photos. It needs a good subject and composition. Try mixing a drink and garnishing with a fruit or something then use that light to take a shot. Now you have subject matter. take that mixed drink, use the lighting and place it on a bar and take the shot to blur out the ground minutely, and now you got composition with subject matter. Get my drift?

you should take a regular photo and then take a uv photo and overlap them.

that could turn out really cool?

I get what you're saying about the subject matter. I could go a lot deeper with this. This mostly was a classic case of "Hey I wonder what will happen when I do this?" and then I thought it ended up rather neat. I'm playing around a little bit to see what else I can do with it, what other colored LED lights will do, and how well it mixes with regular light and stuff. I've never had any formal photography training (or even fully read my camera's manual for that matter) so I'm always learning as I go!

That and I'd have a drink for when I was done!

I do like this idea as well. I have an outdated version of Photoshop on my Powerbook (I'm still living in 2004 I guess) which I'm wondering if I could use that to do it...
