I enjoyed learning a little bit, myself, posting up those links. I have used triggers before, but its not in my everyday repertoire, so it was nice to refresh. I hope whoever reads what I had posted learned from it, not only you.

and I hope you understood what I had posted. I know you can use your speedlights at 1/8000s, but that is like saying, I can drive to work in 1st gear at 6krpm+ all day long. probably not the most efficient, but there are better ways to accomplish that. if your method works for you, so be it.

as far as I am concerned, as long as are happy with the results, that is all that matters

    wat

probably the best video that is explaining what I was trying to explain to you in the past posts(not sure why I did not introduce this video earlier...)
key point of the discussion is at 14:25
    http://vimeo.com/40018418

I think I've beaten this dead horse enough. for the other readers, I hope you have been able to extrapolate the info that I have posted as I think I have explained it as layman enough. no offense to pkjr, but I am tired and done speaking on this topic, as I am not an expert(as I have some experience, but not enough to make a presentation to a group of people).

F2.8. the focal plane is a lot thinner up close and personal.

In my testing with mine 2.8 seemed to thin. But I think my subjects were a lot closer which definitely adds to it. Thanks for the info!

On another note a few of my slacklining photos may be featured in an LA yoga magazine next month!! Waiting on a phone call to discuss the fine details.

for shots of people, thin DOF is ok, as long as the eyes are in focus.
