    Whatever floats your goat.

    Unless your body is holding you back, then there is no need to upgrade. a D7000 isnt going to perform MUCH better than a D3100. Minus the weather sealed bits.

    I would recommend renting 2.8 lenses. I was in your same situation until i rented a 14-24mm f/2.8, i quickly changed my mind.

    My best pal at college is a profesional and I borrow his 2.8 lenses all the time. AMAZING compared to what I have. And I really do appreciate your advice. I don't want to come off as difficult. I just have many priorities and my new hobby doesn't fall above others. I'm also disabled to include messed up spine and hands so lighter weight helps keep the fatigue down. Long story short, I appreciate the input, have done the research, have shot every lens I've even considered owning and am happy with my decisions for now :thumbsup:
