Yeah I'll definitely try it and post up the result.
Gotta pause going through them to eat, just got off of facebook talking with my girlfriend who's in Ecuador, so it'll be a bit before these new ones are up.
In the meantime, I posted this like a week or so ago in the birding thread but I never ended up posting this here, but I'm really proud of it: :)

I had a different edit of my challenge shot this week. I couldn't decide which one to enter so I put the one that was a little heavier processed than I normally do. This was my normal HDR processing that I didn't enter. Same shot though.

As I was leaving I saw this excavator sitting there and couldn't help myself. Well actually I was eyeballing it the whole time I was there. lol

You basically take 3 shots that are bracketed or -2, 0, and +2. You then use Photoshop, HDR Efex Pro, Photomatix, or Oloneo to combine the 3 shots and edit them. There is also a plugin for Lightroom for it. Try googling HDR and read some on it. You'll find plenty of info. You scan make the picture anywhere from realistic to surreal looking. A lot of people go to far for my taste and kind of over cook the image. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Pretty much. I'll start with presets in the program first. I use HRD Efex Pro for mine. I don't like the over cooked look that a bunch of people use. Usually when I start to see a halo around the objects in the pic I back off. Most of the time I don't even go far enough to get the halo. You can see in the pic I used for the challenge below there is a little glow around the building, that's further than I like to go. I kinda liked how the blue colors popped in it though. It made it more like what I saw. Had it been morning it would have probably had a glow around the building anyway in a regular shot due to the sun coming up. This is a shot I had been wanting to do for months.

The mill on the left of the photo was built in 1851 and was one of the largest mills in the south up till it's closing in 2003 which was when the Synovus building on the right was built. Funny thing is Synovus was started by a worker at the mill that offered to put a lady's (worker) money in the company safe and pay her interest on it.

Anyone know why Flickr was showing my pics were taken 14 hours before I uploaded them when it had only been about 5 or so hours? The time and date on my camera are set correctly.

I shot it 5 hours before I uploaded it and had checked the time and date before I shot the pictures. The pictures hadn't been made 14 before I uploaded them.
