You could try stacking as a method for making trails. Something like this maybe?

Just the enfuse plugin. I turned all of the parameters to 0, though I don't quite understand those yet, I just figured that way it might change the colors the least.

Hmm...I'll have to look into that some more. Right now I have a plugin for lightroom that seems to work pretty well. I haven't taken any star trail photos that need stacking, I have always just changed the exposure time. Maybe next weekend I'll go try to find somewhere dark-ish to try to do some trails with stacking instead of long exposures.

You will want to check the phase of the moon and moon rise. TPE is a good tool for that.

Looks good. Only thing I think I would have done different is shoot earlier or later in the day to avoid the blown out background. Other than that I like them.

Big money there. One of the reasons I don't really want to go FF cause most take CF cards.

I think the first photo could use a new crop. IMO your subjects get lost in the background and it makes them look small. Also the lady blends into the background slightly so I'd see if you might be able to add a little contrast to help fix it.

The second and third photo might be aided with a high contrast B&W edit. Anytime I have a photo with blown out skies, I usually try to bring it back either with a B&W edit or I use the HSL palate in Lightroom

I already have too big of a list for B&H. They know my address very well.

I did get 2 SanDisk 32g sdxc UHS-1 extreme cards there on Black Friday for $59.98.

There are a bunch of different apps that are worth looking at.

Star Walk (interactive night sky), MiLapse (Time lapse calculator), Sun Seeker (sun's path), Moon Seeker (moon's path), Light Setup (so you can diagram light setups), and of course, TPE. I also use Camp Where to find places to camp and Doggoes for finding dog friendly places.

If I had to pick just a couple, TPE and Star Walk would be the most useful.

It is a pretty nice app. Especially for free and there are only a couple of things it doesn't do as well-when you're working with the night sky.

It's nice to select your shooting angle and even figure out what time you'll be shooting (like when you want the MW to be in a given position), Star Walk lets you scroll easily through the clock and see the sky-that gives you a rough idea how a timelapse will look for the start/stop time.

SkyKey is pretty good. Thanks for sharing that.
