Crappy iPhone shot, but took this through our 16" f/10 telescope tonight! First time it's been used in months. No crops!

    Thanks :)

Its a lot harder than it looks. I had some spectacular shots only to be ruined by a few drops of water that were on the front lens. It will be the last time I use this case for awhile since my work wont have me near a beach anytime soon.

Here is my number 2 for the weekly challenge. I should have had my someone take a picture of me standing on top of a 10ft ladder in the back of my Taco with the wind blowing 15mph+ to get the shot lol

Some guys spit on the port. Some always dunk before shooting.

I'm sure there's some magic you can do to help with that.

Regardless, they're all mighty impressive. Especially the third one.

Got bored at the station, so I took out exploring the district.

These are from a Nokia 920, so sorry that the quality sucks. I enjoyed looking around, though; and I have some ideas to bring my camera back for.

Didn't get much shooting in this weekend. Crappy weather and family for a little get together for my bday. Played with the Nero a little yesterday on the trick candles on my cake. I absolutely cannot wait for a lightning storm!

I wanted to get out and shoot today so bad. But noooo, stupid homeownership. Build fence and gates, weld gate braces, thatch yard, rototill the garden and flower beds. The list never ends!!! But I guess its worth it. The hobbies can take the back seat sometimes.

    Same here.

Water pump change yesterday, so wanted to get her out and burn a few gallons to cycle the system and check for leaks.

Tossed the pack in the passenger seat and hit the road for an hour or so.

Saw examples of repetition everywhere, but the creative juices just weren't flowing on the composition side.
Got back home and my last idea is pretty lame... not even going to bother shooting it.
Just one of those days... went by that temple that I shot a few weeks ago and nothing "framed up" even on that... at that point, I just stopped looking for subjects.

What I really wanted to do was set up two opposing mirrors with the camera in the middle for the "infinity" effect, trigger by remote.
Never had a chance to set up the shot.

    Those shots are awesome.

I've done UW work before using basic Ikelite housings.
Still work has been using basic 35mm point-and-shoot (camera and housing sold as a unit)
I did some video work using one of the VHS small camcorder formats (not VHS-C, the other one).

Wife gave me enough shit over the $600 housing for the camcorder... it would take a LOT of nice dinners to pay for a housing for the D7100!

These are from a 2002 trip to Cozumel. I have a bunch from Catalina, but the clarity just isn't there.
These were all scanned from 35mm negatives, and I really, really need to find them.
The two with the diver in them... that's me. Handed the camera off to my buddy.

And thus, my downfall as a photographer.

I simply do not have the patience to set up the shot and wait for a train that might only come by twice a day... once when the lighting is right.

And if I have the train schedule, my wife will inevitably "can I come with?" which delays my departure by 20 minutes, so by the time we get there I'm rushed to set up the shot... if I don't miss it.

Haha and thus, why I always carry my camera with me, at all times. haha

You're thinking too much. It should go this way.

I'll take my camera everywhere I go so when an opportunity presents itself I can take a photo. ha

I was just on a walk and wanted to climb down under the bridges for a better angle. Than a train came :D and thus, why tomorrow I'll have my camera on me. Just in case!

I find it goes like this more often:

Takes camera with me everywhere....nothing really to shoot.

Leaves camera just ONCE.....misses tons of photo ops..

Brings camera...leaves tripod..Misses tons of night/HDR/Long exposure photo ops...
