What I asked for for mine haha

Thanks man! I'm stoked. It'll probably live on it for a long time. Haha now I need to see if my 18-135 can get fixed.

Yea it's smaller then I remember when I shot Marc's. But I guess after using mikes 10-22 I was expecting I to be bigger.

    Really nothing longer huh?

Probably not. But not like you don't get good stuff with it. And it'll fill a big gap between the two..

A very expensive lens that hasn't been made in years. You will actually get your feet in the picture holding it horizontal.

It's pretty crazy. I would be deathly afraid of scratching the lens just putting the cover on.

So, I've been thinking about buying a mirrorless camera lately. One of our local photographers recently got a Fuji X-T1 and the images coming from that camera are making me drool. I don't want to spend $2k on another camera (have a D90 now), so I was looking at the Fuji X-M1. Looks like you can get the X-M1 with a kit lens for around $600. Anybody have experience with these?

I am taking a trip to Colorado in January to go skiing. Would the X-M1 stand up to the cold?

I used to be really into photography, but other hobbies (fishing and music) have edged it out. I think if I had a smaller and lighter camera (mirrorless), that I would be more likely to carry it around, because I don't really take my D90 with me anywhere.

X-M1 is great, just keep in mind it does not have a viewfinder. If I were you I would look for a used Fuji X-E2. A little better featured and has a nice viewfinder. Their main bodies are rated down to 0 i believe while the X-T1 is at -20 or something like that. Either way, I've never had a camera of any kind crap out because of cold, but the batteries drain super fast in cold. Get a few spares for the trip if you won't be near a charger every night. ha

Yeah, the lack of a viewfinder concerns me about the X-M1. Is the E2 much bigger than the M1? I would guess that is it still way smaller/lighter than a D90. Seems like the kit lens with the E2 is better as well, it opens up to f/2.8, the lens that comes with the M1 only goes to f/3.5.
