Very cool area over there. Haven't ever poked around much, but always wanted too.

PetaPixel has a great article on the understanding the natural lighting conditions referred to as the Golden Hour up to Twilight.

Interesting read. Toward the end, there's a reference to an app call Photographer's Ephemeris. Also worth getting when you want to see where the sun or moon will rise or set.

That is an awesome app, but the windows version is a bit easier to navigate.

It's donate-ware.

Got a new i5 HP last August.
Hated to retire the old machine, but honestly, I built it for Quake-3 and Counterstrike.
I think my Samsung smartwatch has more power... the computer had more than 1ghz processor, but I don't think it had 4gb of memory.

I'm not in here much (maybe I should be because you guys are good!), but thought I'd jump in and share this image. My nearly 8 yr old Golden Retriever was put to rest after being diagnosed with Valley Fever and cancerous tumors in her chest. What a great dog and I'm sure going to miss her.

Damn Pete sorry to read that. Sometimes think I have too many collars in my collection, but each dog was a blessing in their own way during the time I was privileged to be owned by them.

They say there's a Rainbow Bridge and our pets will be there to greet us. I hope so.

Hey guys! Heading to Disneyland next week and thinking about leaving my sigma 30mm 1.4 home and renting a canon 24-70mm 2.8 from a shop in San Diego. You guys think that lens will be ok? I just want some 'zoomage' when I'm there with my daughter for parades and such.
