Get a neutral density filter in a 6 stop or 10 stop and you'll probably like it a lot better if you're going to shoot at that time of day. Then you can open the lens up some more and increase your exposure.

Got out and took a few photos this weekend.

Got access to a church on the national registry of historic places. Neat place but reminded me how much I need to practice more, especially indoor - let alone in low light settings (don't forget tripod and dont forget to square things up!. Especially with a wide angle) Not my fav but I don't think it turned out all that bad... in B&W.

I look like a idiot but I never leave my tripod at home if I know I'm going to shoot stills. About 60lbs of equipment in there lol.

I need to get back into that habit....

What bag you rocking? Even with 60lbs is it comfortable/versatile enough to lug around?

Bag/equipment wise. I'm still trying to find the perfect harmony that incorporates what I need and what I don't. I'm too much or too little, not found my perfect match yet. Maybe one day I'll figure it out.

I'm using this bag. It holds a unbelievable amount of stuff and pockets everywhere. Extremely well made. Even has a pocket in the back for my MacBook Pro. I carry this bag everywhere. I work for the FD so I even have room for a change of cloths packed in there when I go to work. Very comfortable bag with a lot of padding inside and out where it counts. Highly recommended.

This looks promising. I'm going to look into this a bit further and see if someone local has it to look at. Few things I do like about this bag is it holds a tripod and a water bottle and also looks like it may fit my 70-200mm preferably on the body. Thanks!

Yeah it will actually hold 2 water bottles. In the picture they show a tripod in one of them. Mine is way too big for that. But it's held on with 3 heavy duty straps. I'm sure there are others that are equally as good if not better but this one is perfect for me.

My Manfrotto 290 might be too big/to heavy but if its got decent straps on the side that would work. Plus, that price......seems hard to beat for what you get. I'm gonna look into it!

That's what id get too! I think I use the 6 stop the most.

I use the Lee filters and they are nice but a pretty big investment. I like that you can adapt then too many different sized lenses easy and stack multiple filters. You can use ND grads too!

You can adapt round filters for different lenses too, you just need a step up ring. They are more affordable to get your foot in the door and may be a good start. You can get Variable ND filters from like 2-8 stops which might be pretty cool a well? ive never tried them though?

The Lee filters are pretty sweet. 1 filter size works for pretty much everything.

Looks like what I take to work every shift plus a laptop bag.

Finally found my perfect match with the 24-70 and the 70-200. Covers pretty much everything I need. Of course I also have 2 flashes and all the transmitter/receivers in there too. Couple of hard drives and the dual battery charger.

It holds my 3 section Manfrotto 055 with no issues. The weight of the tripod and head is probably around 10-12 lbs.

I've finally got it narrowed down to one bag now lol

I used to until I changed camera's, the FF is a little bigger and the laptop doesn't fit over the camera gear as well now so I carry it separate. Plus the lenses I have now are bigger so that didn't help either. I could really use a bigger bag, not for more gear but just to have a little more room in there.
