1080p 60fps is choppy with enough movement for me. Works fine on the truck.

I've had really good luck with that set up. Been through some rough terrain and it never missed a beat.

Hmm, only 720p at 60fps stays smooth no matter how much I shake it.

I use the same thing in my Galaxy Camera 2 except 32GB version. No issues but that is kind of a different story I suppose.

Haha yeah... Has nothing to do with the sd card being bad. Just the fact that most class 10 sd cards are still only about 30mb/s write speed.

Once I convert the file to .mov it's fine, but I lose some quality then.

Yeah, If there were ever going to be any drop outs this would be the one since this road is rough as shit and the camera is mounted to the bed.

A few better pictures of the mount since it's daylight.

Camera looks like it is leaning backward but it is really sitting straight up. Just the way I held the camera. I highly recommend getting the "stealth" case as it doesn't show up hardly at all even sitting on the dash.

Haven't seen the mount designed just the remote. Sweet.

You can buy the Mounting system for the remote. Like everything GoPro you just mix and match. I have so many different mounts that I've lost track now.

I prefer the app over the remote any day.

I used too until I lost a couple of videos in Colorado. I do like the way it is set up and the ability to change the settings quickly but I will never use it again after losing a few videos that I really wanted. The app can sometimes be buggy.

Besides I never change the settings anymore on the camera. 1080P 60FPS W / 30 Pic Burst mode / Single shot 12MP W.

I only use the WiFi remote while in the truck and it (so far has never let me down). I use direct button pushes if I have the cameras out in the field. I can always edit that part out.

I don't and never will again trust the app after losing my videos.

Precisely the reason I will never use the app again. It just randomly stopped for no reason about 10 times back down the mountain. I switched to the WiFi remote and it worked perfectly.
Other than the ease of changing the settings on the camera fuck the app. I'll never use it again.

This video should have been well over 10 mins long.

White water rafting this past weekend the app would have been almost useless because there was no way I would have my phone with me. Having the remote was sweet because no matter where I had stuck my camera I could have it do what ever I wanted

Sadly I had the same issues with the remote when I used it for my spartan race/savage races and it was because the wifi is wonky rather than the controlling systems to be honest. I've had the camera freeze/ stop recording/ respond poorly due to the wifi and it has nothing to do with the controller, but the wifi itself.
My phone has a life-proof case on it so I take it everywhere I would my go-pro. I just prefer the app for previewing the shots I will take, and real time control like I used from this trip to Rausch Creek:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=42Rh0plsIUQ

Without the app I wouldn't be able to preview the rear diff shots without needing the LCD back pack. But again to each their own, that's what's great about the camera it offers a ton of choices for all users.

I've had the same app fail. I should ask if that's fixed or not-it was a major disappointment to not find the shots I was expecting after a kick ass mtb ride.

Exactly my problem with the app. The remote (so far) has worked perfectly. That said... If the camera is mounted on me or my Kayak (except for the very front) I just use the camera buttons that way I know it's working then just edit that part out.
