I upload my videos to youtube. You press play on the video and it starts in 460p or whatever.

I want to be able to press play on my videos and not have to change the quality manually. Some people (my parents, grandparents, etc) who are not technologically savvy as most GoPro and video editors do not know how to change the quality of the video.

So is there a way to press play on a youtube video in 1080p with having to manually changing the quality yourself.?

    Ah... I see.

There is a setting in your youtube account on how to make it automatically play in 1080p. Thing is... if you embed your video on the forum etc... you will have to click the gear wheel at the bottom and manually set it to 1080p (unless someone has figured out a way to change that).

Yeah, usually it automatically picks the best setting for a faster loading time.

The problem is that almost any 64GB micro sd card under $30 (even if it says Class 10) doesn't have a fast enough write speed to support anything over 720p/30fps.

I never had any issues with my old 64GB Class 10 card that did up to 30mb/s until about 4 months after owning my GoPro Hero 3 Black.

But, ever since I bought a better 64GB card that support over 80mb/s I can record anything with no issues.

This is the card I currently use and have had no issues in the past 6 months that I've had it.

Class 10 64gb. No issues in either camera. I even bought a mount for my AR 15 and it works perfectly (not that there is that much recoil). 64gb card works fine as long as it is a class 10.

Just because it's Class 10 doesn't mean it will support the write speed requirements that a GoPro demands.

I had this one initially, and it can't keep up. 30 mb/s write speed just isn't enough unless you never plan to record above 720p.

That's weird. That's the exact cards I've got in mine and I haven't had a seconds worth of trouble with either one. I run 1080p 60fps.

So made the first video on the go pro. Yes it sucks it is a time lapse while driving. 500 pictures in 7 seconds. I didn't realize it took so many to make a decent length video :(

Make sure to change to 1080p when viewing. Any criticism is welcomed and advice.

Shot with go pro hero 3 black, at 11 mp. 2 seconds between each.

You can slow it down a little bit to get a little longer video and a little slower time lapse. Time lapse is the hardest thing for me to make look good. Some people can match the settings up and make them look perfect!
