Probably the wrong place to ask, but can someone shoot me a PM explaining how to change the color of a truck and not have it look like crap? Ive been trying for hours and this is about the best i could get with a few layer masks, a solid fill layer and some color selection tool



i know i could have refined the layer masks and got it better, but it looked like crap and wasnt clearing up and i couldnt match the refletcions/color to something good anyway

Nice, I think thats the setup I'm going for next. They are a darker gunmetal color in person and I think it would match well with the paint

 

I agree. I think they look great ( I darkened them a bit )

Edit: obviously not enough to be noticeable.

i probably could have provided a pic with a better matched angle but it looks good

 

yeah the angle was kind of tough, i had to use liquify and mess with it a little. if you find a better pic post it up and ill see what I can do with the angles

 

can you try some of these, doesnt have to be all of them i just took a few so you could have a better angle
