*OFFICIAL Photography BS thread!!

Hey guys I've been noticing there has been a lot of random BS talk in the Official photography thread so I thought that I'd make a thread for all the BS talk, questions and anything else outside the realm of showing off your creations of visual art!

 

what are you guys shooting with?

I used to have like $4000+ worth of equipment, but then I moved out of my parent's house.

And purchase some nice glass.

 

Lol, I wouldn't get rid of my macro, I love it.

All of those with some of my money might get me the 400mm f/5.6

 

It's not terribly expensive either.

 

No, it's the only one I will ever be able to afford

Planning on getting it when I have the funds.

The 100-400 is nice, my grandpa has one

But I would rather have the 400 prime, and it's cheaper now

 

True that.


I've never had a lens with a fixed focal length, I'd have to get used to it.

 

Yeah, that is the only downside, but I am kind of used to fixed cause of my macro.

But I am usually always at 300 so I'm not too worried

 

You have a point, when I had the 100-400, I almost always shot at 400.

 

Its an amazing lens apparently though, so it's downfalls to me don't really matter.

those are some great set ups!

I use a Nikon D40x with the 18-55 kit lens along with a prime Nikkor 35mm 1.8

I'm still learning to shoot with digital as I have switched from using my Bronica SQ-A 6x6 medium format film camera. I love my Bronica and would love to find a digital back for it if they didn't cost 10-15 thousand...

 

Nice! I'm going backwards lol, I will be buying a Twin Lens soon, I love developing and printing lol

 

I love it too but i don't have to space to keep all the chemicals. and theres one camera shop in my town that used to send my rolls off to be printed but has since stopped and is now dedicated to the digital era
