Switching to Film for a few months...

    Just the basics
    Wow neat thread. Gives me ideas of taking pics of my old AE-1Program with the DSLR. I still have it stored up on a shelf. Had it since 80-81.

    Shoot the slowest film for said environment. Take a notepad and record settings for each photo shot. Number your rolls to coincide with the notes. Take your rolls to a lab that does dip/dunk. If you really want to understand what film is like see if any junior colleges still offer film photo classes. That will also give you the opportunity to develop and print your own film.

    One of the best aspects of film cameras, IMHO, is that for time lapse you don't have to worry about battery failures ending an exposure.

    For the guys talking about Pt. Fermin, I had photos exhibited at that funky artsy place up there back in 95 and 97. Very neat place. Most of the time I just fly over it now.

    Finally got all my cameras shipped in...I'll have to post a pic tonight and get some cheap low ISO film...do some long exposures
