Seems the subject has to be modern, as you note in your suggestion. I don't know that old architecture or clothes would fit that but it'd be cool if someone went to a car show and got some shots of a brand spanking new supercar or something and then made it look like an old photo from years ago ha

The winner will be the guy that takes pictures at a hipster bar.

Because someone may see something in it that you don't?

We are our own worst critic.
The shot you took this week maybe would not have been the winner, but it was better than some submissions, and the whole point of the thread is to share our creativity.

I avoid gay bars. Nothing against people's choices. Just don't want to put out the wrong signal haha

My friend just picked up a 2014 GMC Sierra SLE (very nice truck btw) over the weekend, so I figured it was a perfect candidate for something new. I did an HDR and then tried to add the vintage look. I put the origional on my flickr as well.

Really? haha thats funny. I'm curious why.
I'd say I'm a middle ground kind of guy. I like my guns and gym time, but I also like to cook and take photos. Etc. ha I usually find myself siding with neither extreme, but I've definitely never gotten hipster before:D haha

EDIT: We're both military haha you know any infantry grunts who are hispters? :p haha

Not sure if I did this right. Topic says something new. How about a new pepper plant I picked up? :notsure: Also, this was my first attempt at trying to make a photo look old or vintage. Tried to look up some tutorials online. I think the edges of the treeline in the back is a little bright since the sun was behind the leaves:

Yeah, I'd like to see something more modern than new, but I'll take that one if you don't find something else to take a shot of. Not sure if that violates the rule of "no resubmissions" if you post up a shot of something modern instead. Monte? Ball's back in your court :p

Took some shots today, modern isnt very ample around here. Hopefully I got something cool, and can do some editing.
