I thought I got a cool photo in a parking garage tonight. Blurry. Darn slow SS.

I was walking by some people and snapped a shot from the waist. haha no do-overs there.

I just needed to bump my SS up but the ISO was already maxed out and aperture wide open, which I didn't want. Just too dark sometimes :p

Here's my post for this week: Artificial Lighting

Main light is my refrigerator. Back light is my Christmas Tree. No other light sources in the house.

It took a few shots... haha I ended up sitting down on a stool and basically getting in a shooting position like with a rifle more or less. Fun experiment ha

Hoping to see more entries this week! Then again, I know it's finals for a lot of people.

    Nice one!
Been a while since I've participated...either didn't have the inspiration or was busy. Either way, here's my entry for this week! My girlfriend and I went for a walk to check out the church down the block that is all lit up at night and the park in front of it is full of Christmas lights and little scenes. It's really cool, the park is divided up and a different group gets to set up a scene with lights. I thought I'd get something there, but on the way back we went through a hallway that has giant floor lights and played around with her posing over them. That won in my opinion over all the others! Funny how those little spur-of-the-moment ideas sometimes work out way better than what you planned to do. :p

Good entries so far. This is a small part of a house around the corner from me. They have a giant lot and house and always go over board with lights. They have a sign in front of the house about donating to a foundation to help fight Dimensia. The LED lights in the back ground are from the basketball and tennis courts if that give you an idea of how big the house is. Shot from a tripod, Canon SL1, 18-55 kit lens, with a 1/4 shutter speed.

Some one made mention of using a desk light. Here's my desk, illuminated via my desk light. Not my original idea, but it will do.

Sorry for the slow response. School is busy. I will hopefully have the challenge detail ironed out with Mike before midnight.

    New challenge!

Panning! Subject must be in motion when photo was shot.

    Go!

Motion blur is not required. It is just an effect that can happen. If the judge wants to see more or less of that is up to him. Technically though it isn't a requirement. As long as the subject was moving and you had to move with it to capture it.
