Wow, Pete. Looks like a beautiful place, and that S sure isn't lacking :D

When I got out of the Corps I really wanted to move to Prescott, AZ. I ended up on Prescott AVE in Lincoln, Ne haha not quick close enough.

I need to live near somewhere like the Black Hills, Tetons, UT National Parks or something like that someday. Flatland here and harsh winters too.

End of January Fuji is announcing the X-T1:

Specs are rumored to be; same sensor as X-E2, bigger EVF, double SD, weather sealed, priced between X-E and X-Pro line, faster AF, and be designed after the old FujicaST (with a center EVF).

Sounds like Fuji is really addressing the main concerns with their line up. The AF speed and EVF. Now if Adobe would just address the RAW file converter everyone would be happy haha

Jan-Feb are big months for Photog announcements. I hope you guys don't mind that I pass along what I see announced in here as long as it's Mirrorless related.

I've made several time lapses in camera but not much for video other than a couple of my little brother throwing boiling water into the air when it was -60 wind chill here ha

Look up the Panasonic GH3 if you're serious about video :D that thing is legit! I, for one, never take video for some reason. I just like taking still photos I guess.

Hi there mirrorless crowd. I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on an Olympus OM-D E-M1. I went on a backcountry snowboarding trip last week and had a hell of a time lugging all my DSLR gear around in the snow. The compactness, weather sealing, great available glass, and did I mention compactness? are all leading me to the mirrorless camp. If I can sell my Canon gear, I'll definitely be contributing to this thread!

Welcome to the "light" side :D SO much better. I'm going to sell my DSLR and six lenses for a Mirrorless as well. Unless you're shooting high speed sports or wildlife you just don't need one ha. I left you a post in the photography thread. Since it's more related to this one I should have left it here but saw this second. Perhaps reply here so we don't clog that thread up.

You can check my flickr if you want to see every ISO through the E-M1 and 25mm f/1.4

IMO, you can't just look at where a system is now but it's roadmap of where it's headed. Sony and Fuji seem to have the most exciting stuff coming in the future (for me). Sony has yet another Full Frame coming out shortly and the camera that Fuji is releasing between the X-E and X-Pro lines looks to be quite promising. I just hope that get a tap to shoot screen and IBIS someday like Olympus has.

The Fujifilm X-T1 tics all the boxes for me (as far as rumors go) so here's to hoping it isn't bigger than the X-E2 other than the center EVF hump.

I pretty much wanted faster AF, and bigger/better VF, but an also happy about the possibility of an articulating screen, weather sealing, and dual cards.

In the future I would also like to see Fuji have a tap to shoot touchscreen like Olympus, 1/8000 max SS, and keep it small like the X-E2. I would say IBIS like Olympus too but I know that's a huge stretch ha

If anything after this announcement will be a good time to pick up a used X-E2.

I've been super busy getting back into school and work as well. I'm going through withdrawals from my camera haha I have been carrying the Film body around shooting B&W Tri-X but I can't exactly share those photos very quickly ha

It's kind of funny. I used to always carry my pistol with my ccw. Now I always have a camera and I'm alright with that.

I agree. I think this is the one that will allow me to not have anxiety about selling my DSLR :)
