    Yea it is neat. I wonder what they are using as a source? Satellite imagery? If you click on the bottom they have a bunch of other views of different landmarks.

    i saw a program on one of the discovery channels where this university architect professor uses kites to fly up still camers and video camers to take pictures and video of buildings and such for his classes. he was able to get pictures from the 100-300 foot level; lower than planes and helicopters could legally fly in cities.

    this led him to additional areas of photography and he began making it an art form.

    maybe this is one of his contributions?

    Cool stuff. Theres a program out, for the life of me I can't remember its name, but it takes all photos from sources like flickr and stitches them together for seamless virtual tours of places like the Louvre
