    Wow. He was just down here in PR! Can't believe it. Or the fact that it was dengue. Although people do die from it, very rarely is it a young healthy person

    There have been 18 verified deaths this year from dengue. It's possible but hard to accept. Having seen people with the virus, it's hard to believe someone would get on a plane from Puerto Rico to Hawaii

    its possible, you can get dengue fever from mosquito bites. so maybe he got the mosquito bite from PR.........

    Dang man. As someone who has lost two family members to OD's, I can't understand the reasoning behind sharing info like that on a public forum.

    i heard this yesterday.

    being strong in the surfing world this is depressing to hear. this would be like hearing phil mickelson dying for you golfing guys...etc etc.

    Its so sad to hear....my prayers have been going out to his fammily and friends :(
