Sorry John, Piggy put up a goof fight, at least she got to be home with her family when she passed. Prayers for all of you.

And I don't know if I missed something, but when and what happened to Luna? My only guess is that Piggy waited for Luna to come hone before she left.

Thanks John and all of you.

Luna passed on March 14, 2012. She had a mass in her abdomen that caused a great deal of fluid around her lungs. She would not have survived a surgery, so we decided to put her down.

Piggy was lonely without her. I don't know what happened last night, but they are together now.

I think that was part of the issue. She was in good spirits since Luna went though, just clingy.

She was throwing up over the weekend and we moved her surgery up a few days because she was getting infected. She was fine, although not mobile last night, due to the bandages. She threw up a lot of water in the kitchen, then I put her in her bed. After that, she kinda went to sleep, but would groan a bit and roll around. Thinking back, she was not terribly alert. We figured he was coming down from the drugs. I woke up at midnight, with a bad feeling. I found her in the exact spot and position as I had left her. I think she went very shortly after we went to bed.

We are going to wake the kids and tell them shortly.

Last summer my childhood dog, Tweety, passed away, she had been troubled for sometime, then finally when she knew she was ready, she walked over to the side of the house where our other dog was buried a few years earlier and laid down and went to sleep. Of course she didn't wake up, but we all had great comfort knowing she was with Snowball.

Dammit, I'm tearing up at work. Piggy and Luna are happily together again.

    [IMG]Rainbow Bridge [IMG]

[SIZE=+1]Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

    I am so sorry
