Had an interview with a sales manager about a sales job at a major off-road company last Thursday. They primarily work and order parts for Jeeps, mostly JK's from my personal observance, and compete all around the world in all sorts of races, as well as attend many of the events we all go to. I wont mention the name yet, but they are a very big contributor to the Jeep world.

They are looking for a person to fill a position on their sales team since they have recently expanded. They have just moved from a 1300 sq. ft. 2 door garage to a 9000 sq. ft. warehouse this past weekend, so the company seems to be doing very well.

During the interview on Thursday, I mentioned that they advertise working on and ordering parts for Toyota trucks, but I have never seen one there besides my own (the installed an AAL for me 6 months ago). I explained to them my roots in the Tacoma community and showed them that I can be a major contributing factor to expanding their business into Toyota territory using forums, communities, and trade shows. I think they liked that

The manager who interviewed me sent me an e-mail today asking if I could come in this week to chat with the owner of the company!

I'm a bit nervous because I've always worked in office buildings performing desk jobs and mindless paperwork. This could be the first job I'd really have a passion for. I'm welcoming all points to bring up, and any support I can get for the interview going well! I'll be sure to let you know the result, may it be good or bad news. Thanks! :)
