Prayers for my daughter, and my sanity

I am doing everything I can to stay in control of my wits right now, when all I want to do is go take care of a problem. I just found out that my 20 year old daughter has just been taken to the hospital after her live-in boyfriend beat her senseless because a friend of his told him she was out with another guy, when she was actually at WORK.

I want nothing more but to beat this boy senseless, but I know it will only result in me going to jail, and then I can't be there for her. So please. just put your prayers out for her to recover, and for me to retain my senses and not do something I would regret.

 

Wow. Call the police and let them handle it. And props to you for keeping your cool. I wish your daughter the best and a quick recovery.

The police were already called, but after the fact. They are indicating that unless she is willing to press charges, there is nothing they can do since nobody else was a witness, and they were called by family when she went to their house afterwards.

 

I wish I was as collected as you are I would have been sitting in jail by now... Prayers for daughter and yourself hope everything works out for both of you

 

Damn, I hope she presses charges. One of my biggest fears is having a daughter and dealing with these situations.

 

I know. It is worse because she is in Texas, and I am here in Alabama. I want to be right there with her. We have been a little strained in our relationship lately and she has been withdrawing from the family for the past month or so. Even canceling her Facobook and changing her cell number. My sister was just saying the other night that those are the signs of being in an abusive relationship. I certainly hope that she can look past her emotions and realize that if he hit her once, it's not going to stop.

Latest news, the cops have finished talking to her at the hospital. She evidently told them where he is, and where he will be later tonight. I assume this means she has decided to press charges. I certainly hope so.

 

I'll pray for your daughter sir ! - I would have to say definitley sounds like her live in bf is manipulating her into pushing away her family. That is a dangerous sign he is trying to take full control of her life. The best thing to do would be to have her stay with trusted family or with you and help her get the courage to not only get a restraining order but in this case eventually get her trained in firearms and apply for a CCW license.

 

That's terrible news. I hope your daughter has a full recovery & gets the hell out of that relationship.

My son's only 12 & if he ever does that to a female her father will be the least of his worries when I'm finished.

 

Where at in Texas? I'm willing to help if she is near San Antonio. And I don't mean headhunting either. Just willing to help however you need it.

 

Her ex-stepmom lives in the same town (long story) that she lives in. Her husband and a family friend have already gone to my daughter's apartment and are gathering up her things. She will be staying with them when she gets out of the hospital.
