I am sure he will be beating himself to death when he sobers up. The article says that the girl who dies was his stepdaughter. That alone would be hard for any man to live with.

To the op, I will try to do the same thing here as I did for a good friend on TW here when he passed from cancer. We will be donating a portion of each bearing sold to this fund. This will be above the donation we have already made.

Praying for you OP. There is a prayer section, but the thread will get just as much viewing here where you have it and you don't have to move it. Hope all is well and will be checking in, God be with you through every hardship this brings.

Don't thank me yet! Hahaha. I am in my slow month of sales for the bearings! But I feel that as a sponsor, we should do things like this. Actually, I will throw out a challenge. I challenge ALL sponsors here on TW to donate a portion of their sales to this young lady's care costs. Doesn't have to be much, just $5 or $10 of each sale. So come on vendors! Let's see what you are made of!

I'd love to see this enacted. But I don't know that they will see it here

They will be removing her breathing tube from her mouth today and installing one in her trachea.

They are starting the process of slowly waking her up which will take a few days. They do not want her grabbing and gagging with the ventilator down her throat.

They will scan her brain again in the next few days as well.

She got her hair washed last night. They found twigs and other crap all in it.

New reports state she was most likely not wearing her belt and she was indeed ejected from the vehicle. :( Apparently a couple of them were. I cannot imagine what the first responders/regular people saw when they came up to that scene.

So things are still moving forward in a positive manner.

Her highschool is holding 2 football games and they will be donating 50% of the funds to Naomi. So very kind of them.

Thank you all for your support! It truly is inspiring how good people really are. Sometimes we lose faith in our fellow man, but in times of need... Good truly does shine.

I will update more when I can. This has been the longest week as we had to come back home to take care of the house/work/animals, etc. We are driving up to be with her tonight and through the weekend. The hospital is 3 hours from where we all live. My/her parents have been by her side non stop. Luckily my father has a lot of vacation saved up.

I also want to thank the Ronald McDonald house. Without them, my parents would go bankrupt. They put them up for free for as long as is needed for her recovery. They let us stay there as well when we come up. Most amazing charity.

Thoughts and prayers with Naomi, you, and your family. Sounds like she's making some progress.

Just a side note. It's very easy to donate to the Ronald McDonald House without actually donating money. The Ronald McDonald House collects the pull tabs from soda and beer cans. They sell the tabs and use the proceeds to help out like that. So if you're at a party and feel like you want to help out TRMH collect the tabs.

Not sure about all that stuff...

She has the ventilator in her trachea now. She is an induced coma. They cut off her meds now to slowly wake her up. Will take a few days for that to happen. She looks like naomi now. Most swelling is gone and you can see her beautiful face again. Just found she has broken clavical as well. Has blood clots in her arms they are concerned about amd are doing blood thinners.
