I am not a religious person, but my father is so here it goes.
My father had a stroke yesterday. His brain is swollen and just went into surgery. There was no option. We were told he would die without the surgery and that he may die because of the surgery since he is on blood thinners. It has been a rough couple of days for him and the next couple of hours are very critical.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hoping for your father's recovery, Josh. Surgery is always a scary proposition but often necessary. your posting shows how much you care for him, and knowing that can often help one recover from such issues.

    Best Wishes------------------------john

Made it out of surgery just before 1 am cst. He was in for 4 hours. They removed part of his skull and part of his brain. I have seen him this morning and he is alert and seems to be doing as well as anyone could have hoped at this point. He is 53 years old and has 36 stints in his heart. He was already at a disadvantage going in.
He must have one heck of a will to press on.

    Thank you all.
