    Woke up Monday and saw that my right arm and hand were stiff and my shoulder was killing me. By the time I was done showering, it was turning blue, and I had trouble bending it. I got to work and 4 people all said simultaneously "you got to go to the emergency" as from their perspective half of me looked like a purple Popeye. So I jumped in my truck and booked to the ER.
    Turns out I have a long bloodclot that starts at my lower bicep and goes all the way up my arm, through my shoulder, and part way up my neck!! I spent 4 days in the hospital-finally came home last evening.
    I am now on blood thinners and anti-coagulants. I have to self-inject one of those every 12 hours into my stomach.
    They're saying it's life-threatening because there's the risk of a piece of the clot breaking away and going to a lung, my heart or brain because the clot is in the deep veins that return blood to the heart, hence the tourniquet effect on my armAnyways, needless to say my life has taken a hard turn. I will do my best to get better, but it's going to be a long road-trying not to over-actvate that arm (I can't do gobs of pushups or curl 55lb bells like I was according to Dr.) and my very laborious and physical job is going to be re-thought as I cannot even get a little scratch because now I'm a bleeder.
    Anyone here have to do injections at home? I have already done 2 and I gotta say, I am not digging it. I have to build up some nads for a couple mins then just do it. Worst part is the dosage is big because I am big-100MGs so it burns like hell as you pump it in:eek:
    So I guess I will be popping in a little more here-I'm going to be off work for a bit.

    Fletch said "do they know what the root cause is?" They still don't know. They do know that I overclot as a genetic thing. One of the three Drs was getting frustrated at the fact that nothing was presenting itself. Thanks for your support too:)
