    BUILT, not bought...
So my dad has one year left before he retires from the fire department.

He has been having back pain for about the last month, and the last week its become so bad he cant do anything literally but lay in bed.

I have never seen him in this much pain EVER, even when I was standing next to him in the hospital when he was having the "big one" (heart attack). I remember one time he stepped on a nail in the alley behind their old house and he pulled it out w/o batting an eye.

So long story short, hes fucked up.

Last night his FF buddies loaded him up on some morphine, and the pain never lessened.

I'm driving him to his surgery consultation tommorrow.

FUCK, this sucks. I really love my dad and to see him not be able to even get up to be piss without him tearing up sucks ass.

Hey bri I am sorry to hear about your dad. Back problems are big in the Fire/EMS service. I hope everything will work out for him. Being a fireman, he will get better medical attention then the rest. I know that sounds bad but its true. Tell your dad that a "brothers in arms' in Nevada will wish him the best of luck. I know its hard brotha but hang it there.

Sorry to hear brian! It so tough to see someone you have always looked up to, and has always been so strong be crippled in this manner. My first boss and one of the individuals who has shaped my life was weakened by cancer. We was the strongest, hardest working person I had ever seen

So sorry to hear about your dad Brian. Good luck with the surgery. Hope & it fixes him up good as new.

I watched my sister suffer with her back pain for three months, so I feel for you. It is very hard to watch...

Too bad he can't have my sisters doc... A cancer tumor had eaten one of her vertebre and she was in excruciating pain 24/7. After she recovered from her surgery  the pain was all gone. Her back was all better :D
