As most of you probably know, the body of Chelsea King was found earlier today. She was a local girl who vanished on 2/25/10 from the Rancho Bernardo Community Park, which is my neighborhood park. She attended Poway High School and was a straight-A student. I am just asking the TW community to keep her family in their thoughts through this devastating time and that the man responsible is brought to justice.

    Thank you TW.

The worst part is that he attacked another woman about a month or so ago in the same park, but no warning signs or anything like that were posted to warn other runners about a dangerous man in the area.

Or the fact that he was already in prison for lewd acts with a 13 year old and he was released...

Not only was he released, but he was released a year early.

OR the fact that my dad works for a state prison and he is saying that more people like this Gardner guy will end up back on the streets due to budget cuts. This is a sick, sick world we live in. It makes me sick to my stomach.

    Two words:
    vigilante justice.

prayers being sent to the family. I see some horrible things in my line of work and don't understand how people can be this way. So depressing.

Budget cuts huh? I think it's clear that a few bullets are cheaper than years of keeping people like him in prison.

perfect argument for the US to invest in clean energy.... hook a wind turbine up to old sparky and have that thing running 24/7. that will clear the prison system of scumbags like this pretty quick.

Not sure how I missed this post Derek. Prayers were headed for the family when I first heard the girl was missing. I pass though the the Poway area half a dozen or more times a year. I hope someone takes care of this guy in jail.
