Well, we laid my grandmother to rest today. She was a terrific lady and lived a fulfilling 86 years. Made over 80 beautifull quilts during her life, painted a few paintings, raised her family well, helped take care of the family farm, and also helped many people during the depression by giving them food from their fields and garden. She loved to read, and made the best homemade ketchup you ever did have on freshly fried mushrooms from her and grandpa's woods. (Their homemade wine was top notch too!)

When I went up to the farm she always had me a new pack of multi flavor Life Savers in the top left hand drawer just inside the back door.

As of right now, you are the only ones to know that today I placed a fresh pack of Life Savers right next to her to have forever. Felt real good to give back to her. Sad, but good.

it's nice to tell my Life Saver story, thanks for listening..........and........I finally just broke down typing this so I'll be just fine now. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers TW.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your grandmother Ben. She made the world a better place for those around her. Loved the lifesaver story, brought back memories of my uncle who always had rolls of lifesavers in a bowl on his kitchen table.

Hey man, thanks for sharing. I lost my Grandmother last Wednesday and buried her on Monday, March 23rd. She was 90 and rather than mourning in her loss, we celebrated her existence.

    Good story about the lifesavers!

Really sorry to hear that Ben. You are in our prayers. Your grandmother sounded like a pretty special lady and I am sure will be missed by many.

Always cherish the good memories. They are what make the hurt just a bit easier to bear.
