Im thinking of getting ARB lockers, but first need to convert my front end to 4x4 capable. What are pro's and con's of having these?

I know what they do haha. I mean, from that brand, are there any faults to them or no?

well for one thing converting it to 4x4 is a big pain in the ass from what i have seen and heard and these are from guys who REALLY wheel... there opinion was take the truck back to get a 4x4.... to much trouble with t-case adaptor, front drive shaft, adaptor for front drive shaft, the T-case itself.... not to mention its SHIT LOAD OF MONEY..!! lol im sooner or later gonna lock the rear end myself as well...

no...people who are afraid of a little work say this

cons are the ARB set up is expensive...pros are...its probably the single best selectable locker on the market

and yes...you have to put a compressor and air tank somewhere to operate the locker...but that aint no big thing...its a useful upgrade

i have a 1 gallon tank and my compressor is regulated to 90 psi, the locker will hold that pressure for about an hour.

depends on the shop, it requires a good bit of skill. are you getting it for the front or the rear?

if its a 4 wheel parts, i have to say hell nooo!

itll be a lil more expensive but id reccomend you remove either the rear third or before installing the front clamshell diff (depending on what half you want it) and shipping it to east coast gear supply, they are in my opinion the best when it comes to gears axles ect... http://eastcoastgearsupply.com/ or ask for Chase at 919-672-2705. i know some of the people that work there, they are pretty much the cheapest you can get and if im not mistake i think they do price match if they arent already cheaper
