Tractor supply's farm jack "high lift look-a-like"

Has any body tried the farm jack from tractor supply? It looks just like a high lift 48". It's priced at $50. Not a bad deal.

 

Never tried it, I am sure it is sturdy, hi lift is probably a bit more expensive because you are paying for the brand name... just a guess though.

 

yeah your more than likely right. I plan on getting one next pay day and posting pix. It maybe the cheaper route for people trying to save a couple of bucks.

 

i got a harbor freight one for 30 bucks that hasn't let me down yet.

 

i have a 50 dollar 60" from harbor freight, havent used it yet but it looks fine lol

 

I have the harbor freight one also, I haven't had to use it to change a tire yet, but I've used it to pull down an old shed and also to jack up the floor of that same shed high enough to get some concrete blocks underneath, worked great for both. I bought a Hi-lift accessory kit for it and everything fits the jack just fine. The most useful thing in the kit for me was the wheel strap attachment so you can jack the truck using the wheel holes.

 

I saw this at harbor freight the other day and was wondering (good or junk??), I figured I would bump this back up and see if people had any input.

 

i have the tractor supply one. works great! i keep it on my roof, so it's exposed to the elements all day every day, and there is no rust, and all of the parts move as freely as the day i got it. another plus, is that all of the hi-lift accessories work with it.

 

Nice, thanks for the input. I just saw that ATO posted some mounting brackets to connect a hi-lift to the bed rails and thought it would be a nice addition to the truck.

 

i saw those too, they look nice. mine would be mounted to the bed rails in one form or another, but my tenneau takes those up, which is why it's on the roof

 

Which cover do you have? I have the pace edwards full metal and it uses the bed rails, but I was thinking the ATO's would mount under it. I still have to go and take a look if there is room.

 

hah, i actually have the exact same one. that is true, it may actually fit. the only problem i'd be worried abotu is the jack itsself sticking up too high when bolted in

 

Yeah, the pics they show, make is look like their brackets are lower than any of the other brackets I have seen, which is why I was interested for the first time in getting one. I love the cover!!!

Don't they also carry the Hi-Lift brand at tractor supply? I got my Hi-Lift there.

 

hi-lifts do the same. Bill Burk Says to use a dremal and lightly grind the part that the pin slides on.

OP I have a Harbor Freight 48" and I use it a lot and have had no issues with it. I bought it for $30 and picked up a Hi-lift brand Clevis for the top so I can use it as a giant clamp

 

i have one of each a Harbor freight farm jack and a hilift farm jack. the harbor freight one works good but the hilift is much smoother and more refined, easier to use. the farm jack from harbor freight if you dont use it for a while it sticks and jams and the pins dont like to move freely. seemed to work better when smoothing the pin holes in the jack rail

 

I got the Harbor Freight one, If you plan on mounting it in your bed for a while, go with the Hi Lift brand. My HF one isn't smooth as a OLD hi lift one that has been used.

 

i have one of the farm jacks mounted in my bed. it's been in there for a couple of months and i still haven't had to use it though. there's a little surface fust on the main frame of it but it functions fine.
