Just picked one of these up for my dad's access cab taco from Amazon. He's really happy with the mat and I'm now trying to decide between this mat and the official toyota one.

My concern is that it says it's to fit a short 5' box. I want to confirm with the long box guys that it does fit w/o cutting it before I order. Thanks.

Here is the quote from their page,
Dee Zee Bed Mat/Skid Mat; Can Be Trimmed To Fit 5 ft. Bed

It fits the long bed perfectly. The cut out pattern is already on the mat. All you will need is a straight edge and sharp utility knife.

Cool. Just making sure. Thanks, Scott.

I'm glad I ran into this b/c I was getting ready to dish out $90 for a Toyota one.

Got mine yesterday. Didn't notice it at the front door until late in the day. Had to go buy a utility knife. Still, got done way before dark. Fit was perfect. My neighbor watched me put it in and was impressed by the quality and price.

One caveat. If you have a NEW Tacoma, don't slide these mats around on your bed while unpacking. There is something in the rubber that will leave scratches in your Taco's pristine plastic bed. You'll cover it up with the mat of course. But if you're trying to preserve the newness, the scratches will be counter productive.

Now! What to do with the scrap piece? Looks too useful to throw away.

    Any suggestions?

Ha, ha, I know... I couldn't throw mine away either. Right now it's being used as a basement door mat. My first thought was to attach it to the inside of the tailgate. A quick measurement looked like it would fill the center section... what that'd be good for I don't know? Might keep you from marring it up?

Yep, looks like the same bed mat. Good find DBZ & thanks for posting in this thread. That'll save some TW members some cash.

Would anyone sleep on one if these mats if you camp in the back of your truck inside a shell? Someone mentioned the rubber smell
