Procar Pro Sports seats

I've been thinking about swapping out my bench seat for something like these http://www.procarbyscat.com/Products_ProSports.asp . Does anyone know if they are any good? These are only about $150 each.

 

Those would look great in a reg cab.

i dont really know. i havent looked into them that much. hopefully there is some type of mounting bracket available. hopefully someone who knows more about them chimes in.

 

when Steve got his, i was shopping the same seats as Hunsaker folded...

from what i recall, they have a bracket system available... i just cant remember if it was fixed or slider...

with race seats, you typically want them stationary so they keep you in place, but sliders are convenient for daily drivers and multiple user rigs...

i think a number of aftermarket seats have universal mounting holes that allow you to use other company's brackets...

for example, when Hunsaker was open, their seats used Procar bracket part numbers...

 

Procar does make adapters with these seats for tacomas - they look to be about $80.

Does anyone else know anything about these seats? Im interested in comfort and fitment in our trucks or any other info u may have.

Spoke to a buddy that has similar seats and said if the truck is lifted too high its tough to get into the seat. Gotta climb over the outside lip on the seat. Said some companies make em with the lower outside cushion.
Also, if you tend to drive long distances they could get uncomfortable.

 

Take a look at the Procar Rally's. They aren't quite as much a racing seat as they are nice bucket. I had them in my old FJ40 and they were my favorite seats I've ever had except for the Recaros in my Evo.



I had mine recovered in two-tone, but here they are in my FJ40.

 

i'd look more into a suspension seat than a race seat. something like the PRP DD, corbeau JP or mastercraft rubicon

Not quite as sporty as I was originally planning but the seem very practicle. We'll see

I've always liked simplicity but I may check more into these bad boys

 

I had some fixed buckets in an integra i had. As long as you were not driving more than 2 hours they were fine. Im also small 5'5" 140. Loved them for keeping my ass in the seat though.

 

ya im 5'7" medium build so I should fit fine. Hopefully the comfort factor isnt too bad
