i’ll prob leave it on in winter. i don’t really have a good place to put a hard top or and i HATE the looks of them. looks like a SUV. i love how i can fold it down if i have it on and need to put something tall in the bed. could have used one twice already this year.

yeah reading how it’s hard when its cold kinda made my mind up on that.

    looks god covered in snow!

if i new i “needed” one allot and had the money and liked the looks of a had one i would prob lay the cash down. but i don’t think i will use it all that much. rainy days around town if i need to put something that wont fit in side and need it dry. or on a road trip.

yeah I was in the same boat. I just got lucky and got it on craigslist for less than $300

I was getting tired of transporting things in the back seat when it rained outside

yeah. don’t like it that much either. most use will be around town and stuff wont be in the bed long prob just on the way home. i know some people keep tools and stuff that need to be locked up but i don’t so i don’t think i need to lock stuff up much.

Mine have not come loose yet while going 75-80 mph. The only issue I have had is the adhesive on the velcro for the front window has pulled off of the bulkhead. I use a piece of aluminum angle and clamps to keep it from coming loose.

    I did the same.

Also I just finished building a bike rack that holds the bike outside of the bestop, so now I can load up camping gear/etc inside and keep my bikes outside.

Did you ever figure out why it was so leaky, or manage to fix it?

The last storm went through the SF Bay Area this weekend. My Tacoma w/Supertop was parked outside during the heavy rains, and it leaked along the seams where the supports are. Sorry, no pics. I ordered some Seam Grip Seam Sealer, and I'm going to try sealing the seams.

Had mine for about a month before it got warm enough to install, I like it so far. Feels kinda like the middle hump is bigger than it should be but not sure how i'd change that. Anyone know how I can order the extra clamps from Bestop so I can put it on the front rails? Also, is the distance between the bestop and cab supposed to be that wide? Can I just unclamp it and move everything forward an inch or so?

It looks like you have the middle bar set on the highest setting. Theres 3 lock points for it. Lower down by one notch and that should fix it. My topper sits closer to the cab.

 The middle hoop is not adjustable. Only the front hoop. It will relax down some over time. Mine is almost flat on top now, and I had to replace the riveted middle bar pivot pins with bolts after one of the rivets broke off.

You can try moving it forward some if you like, but if you go too far you may have trouble folding it down against the cab.
