I'm up for new blades, I still have my 4 year old stockers and I think they've had it. I did have Rain-X Latitudes for about 6 months, but they kinda of sucked. The passenger blade would miss a huge section of the windshield, and after 6 months, one of them fell off!

Today I was looking at the Bosch Icons. Apparently there are 3 types for each size, A, B and OE. I'm thinking a 22A for the drivers side, and a 21B for the passenger side. I'm in New England, so I get 90+ humid weather to below 0 snow and ice.

I bought the Bosch Icons, a 22A and a 21B. My stock blades were toast. Hopefully these are better than the Rain-X blades.

Thanks. They're 2X a regular Trico filler but the ones I have now make noise as go across the windshield. I think it is uneven pressure. Annoying as hell.

I bought them from Advanced Auto. The Icon's cost me $22.99 for the 22", and $20.99 for the 21". They had the Trico equivalents for $18.99.

I was referring to the old style Trico refills - just the blades that slide into your existing frame.

    Icon 21" $13.25, 22'' $13.11 - Amazon. If anyone's interested check links above.

I just put on (3 months ago) some cheaper Bosch blades (Excel?) and they
seem to work well. Quiet. No skipping, no missing spots.

Don't know how long they'll last, though.

I just put the duralast blades that conform to the windshield. Best wiper I have used in a long time. And not horribly expensive either.

The metal inserts have been poking through the refills since I installed them. I either did not install them right ( seemed pretty simple) or the sizes were not correct even though they state 21 and 22 inches. I won 50 bucks on scratch off Friday night and just used that to buy some PIAA blades on Amazon for 51.00 bucks :)

After about 9 months my Bosch Icons wouldn't wipe well at all. Overall, not impressed... They worked great for about the first 6 months, then went downhill in a hurry. I went with Rain-X Weathertechs this time. They're 1/2 the price of the Icons so we'll see how they hold up.

Ive tried so many different blades is sad. Out here in the desert, blades give good performance for about 6 months. Then, they go to shit fast. Ive used $70.00 blades, $2.00 blades, and they are all abou tthe same. Now, I use OEM, as they are cheap, easy to get (dealer 1/2 mile from my house), and I just try to replace them before we get alot of rain.

Chris you replacing the whole blade or just the insert? I did just the insert and this is where I am having the trouble. The metal inserts like to poke out

Just a thought... did you push the insert all the way in? There should be little tabs on it that lock it in.

    Kinda like this...

The photo shows the metal inserts sticking on of the blade? If this is correct then I either have the wrong insert for this frame or I am just an idiot and installed them completely. But after taking them apart of few times now I do not remember seeing anything like this on my insert.
It will be another week before the new blades come in. I will take a look at them after work again.
