Do any of yall run this bracket with the backup cam/mirror combo? I had a guy come into my glass shop a few weeks ago for a replacement because his shield cracked at the factory mirror button. I thought that maybe the extra weight of the cam mirror may have levered the button over time, as the top section wasnt ds taped to the glass or tucked under the headliner. The installed shield was a Pilkington (Toyota OEM) so I dont think glass was an issue. Just wondering if anyone else had come across this...

I have a 2014 Tacoma so does this bracket actually go up and fit inside the headliner or does it just go up to the headliner with out touching it. I appears some have said you have to stuff it above the headliner. I would prefer it not be stuffed above the headliner putting pressure on it. So you all that have it which is it? My Tacoma is a 2014.

I have a 2010 but I don't imagine it is much different. I have the mirror with backup camera + hands free microphone built in so there is a wire harness. After installing the bracket there was no room for the OEM plastic pieces that hid the wire harness connector so I stuffed that under the head liner and wrapped the wires with rescue tape (non sticky).

There is a slight gap between your headliner and the windshield. The very end of the bracket fits into that space but I wouldn't say the bracket is "stuffed" under the head liner. Here is a pic:

Seems it would make it a little better to shorten the bracket piece toward the headliner by about 1/2 inch. That way there would be no stress on the headliner. Stressing a headliner over time can lead to issues with it coming loose. Believe me I know from experience. Yours looks good. It does not look stressed.

I should have taken the picture from this angle the first time. It was easier from the passenger seat and I was lazy. I and I bet most folks don't agree it should be 1/2 inch shorter. 1483 brackets and you are the first that I know of to suggest that. :D As you can see from this angle it puts the stock mirror bracket right up against but not under the head liner. If the ImMrYo bracket were 1/2" shorter it would be less effective. Most of us would have then asked, hey.... why didn't you make this 1/2" longer?!? The ImMrYo bracket really is putting no "stress" on the headliner IMO. At least you can see from the pics and make your own buying choice. :) The thread is filled with happy customers.

EDIT: I wanted to add that mine has been installed for 3 years with no problem. Probably my favorite and most used mod.

    ^^^^^^What he said

The bracket slides right under the headliner. You hardly need to pull it down for the bracket to slide in...no stress at all.

Well I am one of the few or maybe the first that the bracket just did not work for me. This is my opinion but I did not want the extra stress from the weight of the bracket pulling on the windshield mount. Also when I received it I felt it put stress on the liner. It just did not seem right. So I sent mine back and sent money for the postage it cost to ship it to me. There are a lot of happy people with the bracket, but it did not work for me.
ImMrYo even states in his instructions if you don't feel it is right for you to send it back. So thank him for doing that. I felt at least I could pay him for the shipping since I returned mine.

Have you seen this bracket? You might like that one because it doesn't touch or even come close to the headliner.
