Ok got the car back from the dealer. It got within spec without UCA's woot! Caster is maxed though.

I still rub at full lock in reverse with my Level 8 guardians on 265 70 17.

I do have vibes from take off and at around 10mph.

Should I install the gearbox spacer kit?

    You mean carrier bearing spacer?
It's two bolts and a spacer plate; takes about 5 minutes.
    Can't hurt to try.

So after having my ironman leaf pack on for a month or two,
    I have become very disappointed.
    The leafs are terrible.
They have squeaked and made my truck sound like a rust-bucket since day 1. They have rust all over them. My truck's rear driver's side sits about an inch higher than the passenger side, even with the gas tank full. The ride quality is atrocious. It road better with my worn out old inverted springs.
I plan to email ironman this week, but hopefully they will see it on here.

My truck has a slight Taco lean but not a whole lot. I have had it for a year-ish now and the rust is of a normal amount. Ill take a look tonight though :notsure:. Aftermarket leafs squeak...just how it is. I rarely notice it but it seems to have lessened over the year. It took about 6 months and a week long wheeling trip before the rear softened up some. Maybe throw some weight in the bed and hit a trail? Mine rides like a truck and that is about all I can say on that haha.

Hopefully they can take care of you. I haven't had any issues so maybe you just got a bad set?

I had to throw weight in mine to soften it up too. It's normal now. I also have no squeaks in the leaf packs. Just in the front driver side coil.

Some aftermarket leaves come with plastic anti squeak pads at the end of the leaves, I don't think Ironman does this. So, a little squeak would be normal-ish.
As to the ride quality and height; two questions...did you get the "normal Ironman set," or the "added capacity set" designed for higher load like camper, winch, bumper, etc? And; are you sure you got the rear passenger side and driver side leaves on the correct side?

As to ride quality, my '06 seemed to go from squishy in the front, and harsh/not enough capacity in the rear to a ride that was a little softer in it's initial travel to a little firmer in it's extended travel. I liked it. It felt better and more controlled to me.

I liked it enough I'm gonna order another full lift for my 2013 when they have them back in stock.

I am enjoying my new suspension-this is my first after market suspension so I have nothing really to compare it to. It does ride a bit stiff but that's ok, it will soften up. I made sure to install the leafs on the correct side and I can't really notice a lean.

    Issues:

    1. My passenger leaf does squeak but I ordered some pond liner and am going to attempt to fix it.

    2. The third leaf down on the drivers side is off centered with the other leafs. This bugs me but I don't think it affects anything (could be wrong).

    3. It has been mentioned but the powder coating is very delicate, you could sneeze and take some off.

    4. My leafs arrived pretty scratched up-could have been fedex or TRDparts4u-not IM's fault. I expect them to rust but surface rust is ok with me.

    Installed, no spacer up front.

Looks good man. Now you need to do like me, and get bigger tires.

    Yup!

    I had 265/75/16 BFG's on my 2006; I liked those well enough.

I've been looking at the Cooper ST Maxx; and I may go with those this time.
Still waiting for the mid-April delivery of a lift kit for the new truck

Sticking with the 265 70 17 even though they don't look as good as 285's

You can use Teflon spray or similar to get rid of the squeak. If you search the forums you'll find multiple solutions to fix this problem for pretty cheap.

The leafs are specific to each side of the truck, were they installed correctly?

Just throwing out some ideas to help ya out.

PS if you want to sell them, I may be interested!

I'm positive I installed them on the correct sides. And someone above asked which exact leafs I ordered: they were available in a b c or d if I remember correctly. A for comfort, b for performance, c for medium load, d for heavy load. I went for B because I do wheel a lot.

Sucks to hear it isn't working out. This is my first suspension lift but it rides smoother than a lot of my friends trucks after it finally broke in.

On a better note...I ordered 315/75 r16's today :D. Should get in the shop next week sometime. If any one was curious how that size will look with the ironman lift...stay tuned.

I haven't started that yet. Sadly it doesn't look as glorious on paper as it did in my mind either :(. When I added up the minimum gas requirements, plus parking, plus laundry, extra food costs, storage unit...etc. It all comes out to about the same as getting a roomate here.

I am still looking at it but if I can't save money...and I am just putting a lot of miles on my truck I will probably just get a cheaper place and then I can also get a dog :D. My idea to have a truck I can live out of will continue though. I will save and take next summer to travel and visit friends/TW'ers. I really want the experience and I think having 3 months of traveling, wheeling and boozing will be something to remember. Time will tell what happens. I don't move out until august so maybe I can figure it out.
