Pro Comp Xtreme AT

What do you guys think about this tire? How does it perform

 

id like to know too...only thing that has me attracted to them is the 40k warranty

 

I liked mine, handled well in snowy/icy midwest. Now they're in Alaska holding up well there too . . . (buddy bought the truck) I can't give an in depth review or anything other than, not too loud on the highway, handled great in the dirt and mud as well as in the snow, More aggressive than my dynapro ATMs off road but a little worse on rolling resistance, and if I had to give it to one, maybe just slightly less grippy in slick situations. Immensely better than the stock tires tacos comes with probably isn't needed to be said . . .

 

Thanks for the info. I think im gonna go ahead and try them out. Pro comp has always seemed to produce quality products and i dont really need a mud terrain tire.

 

What do you typically drive on? and I suppose what would you like to be able to drive on haha, there a thousands of different tread designs in part because there are thousands of mixtures of terrain applications. I like to see people choose tread design for the right reason, ya know

 

See thats the thing. My taco is my daily driver thus i run it on the road much more than i do off. When i am off im here in colorado which is not covered in mud. Its usually dry and full of rocks.

 

Hmm, lots of street, some off-road, and colorado snow. Xtremes will do well, if you want to go a little less agressive there are a lot of other options: Michelin LTX or MS2, Cooper Discoverer AT3, Hankook Dynapro ATM, Nokia Rotiiva AT is a new one I'm thinking about gettting next, etc . . . I'm not trying to steer you away from the Pro Comps if that is what you want get it, they will definitely suffice for your application

 

Just bought these tires and i'm loving them. slightly less traction than the stock radials on wet roads. Great grip off road. Not too noisy on the highway. And they look SICK.

 

Why are your tread blocks different?^

I had a pair of 31s on my blazer and i loved them till i punctured the sidewalls 3 separate times. One of those times was due to a 2" twig....... I was intrigued to say the least. The 31s were 2 ply side wall and the 33s had the 3 ply sidewalls,

Make sure you get the 3 ply!!

 

They were too heavy for my 1st gen. I had 285's and they were hard to keep balanced. Sold them

 

Hope they are good just got a set of 285/75-16's

 

I just got them for my Taco in a 285/75/16 5k miles ago, Had them on my last truck in a 39x14.50x17 & I liked them on that. So I got them again for the taco & there great so far, quiet on the road and have handled all the snow, ice, mud & sand I have been able to throw at them.

 

3” Procomp lift, 17x9 RBP 93R wheels with a 4.5” backspace, and 305/65/17 Procomp Xtreme AT tires. Love 'em!

 

had 35"s on my tundra and absolutely loved them, pretty quite on the road, amazing offroad, handled snow great, never got a single flat and they wore like iron even on my 6800lbs pig

I purchased these about 5000 miles ago. I have 305/65 17. I am very pleased with them thus far. Quiet on the road, good in the snow. Havnt had them in any mud...kinda hard to find here in colorado. Very pleased with the product and the price.

 

I've only had them on for a week now and can say that I will love these tires.
