I haven't got anything worthless for this truck yet. But for my s-10 when I lived In colorado springs I bought the stickon rain guards and a bug deflector a week later the left rain gaurd fell off while driving when a friend said to me these are cool when did you get'em then touched it. The fuckin thing flew right out of his hand. Gone but not forgotten. The bug deflector broke in half the first winter when I was cleaning snow off the hood. Needless to say I havent bought these products again.

Nothing so far on this truck, but came close:

1. Almost delved into creating an elaborate setup for a power cell I had (basically a quick recharge secondary battery). Found out I didn't need it for my audio setup. By not doing this, I also don't have to get a URD CAI to free up space (truck's fast enough, I'd rather invest in skid plate stuff, etc.)
2. Thought I had to 'dynamat' the entire inside of the vehicle. Learned that there's a point of diminishing return, and I can scale back to just doing the door and portions of the rear wall. I'll see how it goes, but that cut that project's cost in half!
3. Bike mount from toyota. Found out I could buy an aftermarket deal for $8 + bolts

There's something to be said for doing it yourself, but it usually involves lots of cursing.
