    285/75/17 on SCS 6's. ADS front & rear w/ adjusters. Relentless front bumper & roof rack. BAMF sliders
    I am interested in getting an aftermarket intake to get some more power and hopefully better fuel economy. I know a lot of it depends on your foot, but I have been told that the intake can help improve mileage. Is this true? And if so, which brands should I look at? I have heard about AFE, K&N, Volant; are there any other good ones out there?

    :popcorn: intakes don't do anything for our truck except for sounds cool and little better throttle response.

    It probably does increase your HP, but not noticeably, if you have a after market exhaust it will be louder. Also It will not filter the air coming in as good as your stock setup. That to me is not worth it.

    Performance mods: TRD CAI, AFE throttle body spacer, Doug Thorley headers, TRD exhaust. Cosmetic mods: HID 10k head+3k fog lights, BHLM, T-rex 2 eyelids, billet grill (5 piece), 20% front window tint, 4% back window tint, tinted 3rd brake light, altezza tail lights, LED license plate lights, door skid protectors, slotted drilled rotors,plasti dip rims,painted rotor and drums. Interior mods: TRD seat covers, LED map and dome lights, 2 kicker 10' w/ 500 watt amp, pioneer door speakers,and Pioneer AVIC X930BT.
    I have the first gen TRD intake for mine and I love it. When I drive it properly, I get at least 2 miles per gallon better than before I started modding.

    The URD or the AFE Stage 2si (1st generation TRD intake with the cone filter) are the only ones worth a damn IMO. URD need to watch out for water exposure as it is in front of the grill
