    I have been looking for a locking gas cap for my 2013 reg cab Tacoma and after a long search I found one today at napa. no name on it just napa. it fits perfect and no codes on the computer.

    do they actually work? i had one for my old truck, and i could just press down on the cap, then twist and it would come out...

    I used to use locking gas caps until I lost too many keys and had to breakthe caps to get them off

    They function, but thieves are simply punching the plastic tanks and taking what they can carry.
    One TWer found that they had siliconed a hose into the bottom of the tank and stowed the end in the top of the wheelwell... they could come back and drain 5 gallons into a bucket any time they wanted.

    There's an anti-siphon coil in the bottom of the filler neck anyways.
